Abstract. The paper presents an assessment of effective doses received by different categories of population because of radon daughters inhaled when performing indoor activity. The results show the distrihution of the effective doses as function of aerosol size, for different types of activity. The effective doses were computed by the aid of the original ModeLung software, based on the compartment model of the respiratory tract.
